Frequently Asked Questions
The Erie Insurance Arena parking garage will operate for all of our concerts. The garage is located just north of the arena on 8th Street, but there is a fee to park in the lot. This is the same for every event in the arena. Other garages downtown will be open and operate as usual.
Encore Parking will be located in the Arena Parking Garage in a designated area. Encore Passes will be mailed out and must be presented at the gate. We will still have the Encore Lounge for pre-concert activities. Though the location is still to be determined, there will be a room for Encore Members.
We will use only a portion of the entire arena, nearly equivalent to the number of seats at the Warner Theatre. Seating will be in the bowl closest to the arena box office. The back of the stage will be west of center ice and in front of the jumbotron. Seating will be on the floor and in the 100 and 200 Sections of the arena. A large black curtain behind the stage will go from wall to wall creating the feel of a theatre venue made just for us! Available seating sections will be located near the main entrance of the arena, so it will be a short walk from the front door to most of the seats. Please see map for more details.
We have had numerous consultants and audio professionals in the arena to help us make an appropriate plan for sound quality. Erie Events is purchasing high-quality reflective sound panels that will go behind the orchestra to help push the sound into the audience. We plan to amplify the performance as well.
All Erie Philharmonic tickets will still be purchased through the Erie Philharmonic only!
Tickets can be purchased online at eriephil.org as well as by calling or visiting the Erie Philharmonic Box Office at 814.455.1375 or 23 West. 10th Street, Suite 3. We requested to sell our own tickets so that we have the ticketing history and patron information in our database better to serve our patrons.
The pricing for Erie Philharmonic tickets will remain the same.
The glass will be removed for all of our concerts as well as the netting. The dashers (mini walls around the ice) will remain in place, but there will be multiple openings for patrons to reach their floor seats and entrances.
The ice may be in place for this performance, but will be covered by a protective, padded layer between the ice and where patrons walk and sit. This is standard practice for performances that the arena already hosts on a regular basis. You won’t be able to see or even feel the ice below the floor.
Yes, every patron entering the arena will pass through security. Bottles, cans, backpacks, weapons of any kind and dangerous materials are prohibited in the arena. Bags and purses are also subject to screening. Belts and shoes will not need to be removed, but patrons will be required to go through a metal detector while entering.
Security personnel at the arena are experienced at getting ticket holders through the door quickly. Although we don’t anticipate things backing up, we suggest arriving a few minutes early to make sure we can get use to this new process together.
There are numerous locations in the arena for accessible seats for handicap patrons or anyone with mobility concerns. There are multiple wheelchair locations with excellent views of the stage, and additional seats that are perfect for anyone who might not be able to handle stairs. We’re confident that there are options for all of our patrons.
Due to the location of the stage and seat restrictions, the club level and the sponsor boxes will not be available for use during these performances.
The Erie Philharmonic doesn’t have a specific dress code for attending concerts, and we don’t anticipate changing that while at the arena. Wear whatever makes you comfortable, but we recommend dressing in layers as the space is larger than the Warner, so we aren’t sure what the temperature will be.
Drinks and small concessions will be available before the concert and during intermission at certain areas in the lobby of the arena. Maybe don't plan on having a hot dog or nachos during the concert, but we may have popcorn available for the movie concerts! Outside food and beverage is prohibited in the arena.
We plan to have a coat check available in the lobby of the arena. The exact location is still to be determined, but it will be easily accessible and near the entrance.
Although we encourage all of our patrons to show their appreciation for the talented musicians of our orchestra, we don’t anticipate having cheers, waves, mascots or noisemakers … yet!
