"Music is the best thing yet found to encourage everyone in work and play. An orchestra that is promoted by unselfish motives to promote music of finest educational value is an asset to the community, and the Erie Philharmonic orchestra, organized for the purpose, will have the endorsement of all."

Over the span of 2 days, the Erie Philharmonic had the honor of performing for nearly 6,000 students from across the region. As you can see from the pictures, everyone in attendance had the time of their lives.
New for 2019-20, the Erie Philharmonic was delighted to work in partnership with Carnegie Hall’s renowned Link Up Program to present a learning experience like none other in the historic Warner Theatre.
These concerts were offered free of charge. In addition to learning about how an orchestra is very similar to a sports team, students had the chance to sing along with the Philharmonic has they performed Beethoven’s iconic Ode to Joy. This was certainly one of the highlights of the concert. The supplied curriculum included pre and post-tests, Common Core, National and Pa Arts Standards, game sections, vocabulary and more.
